19 Best Tricks To Save Money Easily

Saving. One of the best ways to increase wealth, do you agree? But How do we do this efficiently? People love to spend money on things that are unnecessary or only give a short term satisfaction. But the money's gone, and instead of putting it in a savings account, we have to work hard to recover it. and for many saving can be very hard, especially if you don't earn much money. But saving money should not be difficult and it should be part of your daily habit, a positive habit that will help you work toward a better future.

So, how do I control my expenses and how can I keep more sweet money in my pocket? Today we will give you 19 tips that will help you save more money easily, if you follow these steps you have to worry less an more money in the bank.

1. Keep your money at the right place.

You might be a customer of your bank for many years, but you should not forget that there are lots of other banks out there. Banks often change fees or interest rates which are not in your favor. Check and see if there are other banks that are better for saving money.

2. Make it your mission to save money.

One of the best places to start with saving money is to be truly and fully committed to saving money. You have to make it your number one mission to save money. If you set it as your mission you will be more determined to do it.

3. Save 10% of your earnings each month.

The best tip that I got when I started my journey to wealth was the fact that you should always try to save 10% or more of your earnings. This way you save a fixed amount each month, even if it is little, you still grow your money in your bank. If you want to learn more about this principle, I recommend you read the book, The richest man in Babylon George S. Clason

4. Don't use your Credit or Debit Card.

Cards are with no doubt very useful when shopping, but it can also be the cause of overspending. There are multiple studies published that suggest that shoppers tend to spend more when using their credit card instead of cash. Next time you go out, consider bringing enough cash, and leave the card at home.

5. Think about your spending's.

You should not buy things, just because you suddenly feel the urge to want it, and try to avoid going on a shopping spree. Before you make any purchase, make sure this product is really useful to you. A car is useful, but does it have to be an expansive one? And do you really need 2 or more cars? If you do this kind of thinking every time you want to buy something, no matter if it's a big or small purchase, you will be able to avoid buying unnecessary things.

6. Wait with the decision to buy.

Something that works rather well to avoid buying unnecessary things, is waiting before you make a purchase. Think about the pros and cons, do you really need this? Or can you easily live without it. Sometimes you will forget about it and continue your life, which means that the product isn't a necessity.

7. Keep some money in your house.

The best thing you can do is to calculate how much money you need each month. Knowing this you can keep this exact amount in your house, for example in a safe. This will prevent you from overspending too much.

8. Find offers and compare.

A great way to save a lot of money is by comparing different offers and choosing the cheapest one. Supermarkets often have weekly discounts, you can wait for them and save serious money. Or if you want to buy a product online, there are a lot of compare websites that will show you the cheapest place to buy.

9. Become a member.

If you are a regular customer of a certain store, like a supermarket, you can get a customer card or become a member and save money or discounts on your member card. But beware, this can also have the opposite effect, because you think, "the more I buy the more discount I get", but in the end you lose more money because you spend too much.

10. Save for retirement.

A thing that we easily forget is the fact that there will be a time when we are old. To prepare for this time you should start saving now, everything that you save now for later will be great for us when we retire.

11. Know human psychology.

Supermarkets know human behavior because they study it for year, they know how to place items the best to sell the most. If you know this too, you can avoid falling for psychological sale tricks and save money.

12. Think about how hard you have to work to earn that money back.

Before you make a purchase you should ask yourself, how hard did I work for this money? How long do I have to work to get this money back? If you do this, especially for bigger purchases, you will see that the desire to buy will decrease.

13. Save on Water and Electric bills.

Electricity and water can be very expensive, so if there is a way that you can save on it then you should. Make it a habit to close lights if you don't need them and don't waste tap water. This should become a daily habit so you don't have to think about it too much.

14. Buy food at the supermarket and eat at home.

Going out to eat might be convenient and fun to do, but restaurants can also be very expensive. Consider going out less and instead buy food at the supermarket and cook at home. Why not prepare meals in advance, so you don't have to cook every day.

15. Make use of notes and reminders.

A good way to stay in the habit of saving is to remind yourself your mission, saving money. You can do this by, for example, setting reminders on your phone in the form of notifications, or using small notes, for example on your refrigerator. Or by gluing a sticker on your credit card that reminds you that you are trying to save money.

16. Quit Smoking or other Bad habits.

Smoking is expensive, if you try to quit and smoke less you could save a lot of money. And don't forget the health benefits quitting can bring you. I know it can be hard to do this, but don't forget, you are committed to saving more money, and this is a big point. If you have other, similar bad habits that cost money, try to get rid of them.

17. Keep track of your spending's.

A very good way to save money is to write down where and how much you're spending. If you do this you can better track where you can save money.

18. Create a budget.

A very important part of your saving strategy should be having a budget. Keep track of all your expenses and your income. It can help you plan ahead, and you have a clear overview of where you can save more money. It's pretty easy to set up, why not search google for free budget templates for excel.

19. Change electrical machines and lights.

I know you might love your old refrigerator, but you know that the older the electric machines are the more electric they consume. A new refrigerator can save you a ton of money each year. And this counts for all your electric machines, from TVs to coffee makers. And don't forget to change your lights to energy saving ones. This can save some serious money on your electric bill.
